Why Should We Care for the Homeless?

From a humanitarian standpoint, we should care for the homeless because they are our

fellow brothers and sisters. When we help a fellow human, we are in solidarity with

them. From a Christian point of view, we help the homeless because Jesus tells us in

the gospel of Matthew 25 that when we help the least of our brothers and sisters, we

actually help him. Thus serving the poor becomes very sacred since we see Christ in

the poor.
